Beautiful

Beautiful ....
I was so unique

Now I feel skin deep
I count on the make-up to cover it all
Crying myself to sleep cause I cannot keep their attention
I thought I could be strong
But it's killing me

Does someone hear my cry?

I'm dying for new life

I want to be beautiful
Make you stand in awe
Look inside my heart,
and be amazed
I want to hear you say
Who I am is quite enough
Just want to be worthy of love
And beautiful

Sometimes I wish I was someone other than me

Fighting to make the mirror happy
Trying to find whatever is missing
Won't you help me back to glory

You make me beautiful

You make me stand in awe
You step inside my heart, and I am amazed
I love to hear You say
Who I am is quite enough
You make me worthy of love and beautiful

For if i had wings, I would fly...

Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

You tied my heart to yours...

This is my attempt to keep my mind occupied, whilst attempting to save and re-framing from going out and spending! Although with payday around the corner its going to get trickier to stay away from the op shops and vintage stores!
I do have a habit of collecting and hoarding a lot of what I think are pretty little treasures. Which today my mum said would be a good trait to have if i wish to open my own vintage store one day.!

I have no idea how i shall financially do this or whether i shall reach this goal but i do know what i shall have in my little vintage boutique lots and lots of pretty bows!!!!
Bow dresses, hats, rings, shoes, headbands and all that you can imagine!

I rather enjoyed just dreaming whilst researching pretty images relating to bows. small pieces of feminine beauty which easily complete a cute, little, vintage outfit!
I hope they inspire you as much as they inspire me

Wonder in Aliceland.....

Tea cups, top hats, rabbits with pocket watches, singing flowers caterpillars butterflies, walruses, flamingo crochet and Cheshire cats...
If your have not guess it I spent Saturday night in wonderland, celebrating the beautiful Ebony's 21st birthday. The birthday girl was dressed in beautiful blue and white just like Alice, Emma the queen of hearts and I myself the mad hatter. It was s much fun putting together a cute costume to wear and was great seeing all the other creative costumes others had so creatively put together so much so i was inspired to write a blog about it. Here are some snaps shots of the night as well as some inspirational images that may encourage you to create a night where you can escape from reality and create your own wonderland.

Or perhaps you may take away some wardrobe inspiration who does not love blue baby doll dresses, pocket watches, lace socks, flowers, key necklaces, red lipstick, tea cups, top hats and tailcoats.

In my Dreams

...
So frustrated with my job again, whats new haha. Have not even been working there for 6months yet... but I can feel it killing my spirit or going no where fast. It has been great to get some retail experience and the people I work with are lovely.....but the retail world not so challenging or inspirational... plus serving the cranky ladies who have too much time on their hands, leaves me feeling all the more happy to leave....
It Got me thinking though where do I want to go what makes me happy and what has God designed me for? With every shift my mind seems to become more vivid with where I would love to nest and rest. I'm hating the city, hating the business of it all not an awful lot of sunlight and a lot of grey.. do not get me wrong it is also exciting and fabulous all the more but for me in small doses is enough not all the time.... I love escaping back to suburbia to my little family home to be greeted by my over excited puppy.
Even living some where quieter again like further down the coast maybe Kiama I have envisioned myself setting up a cute little boutique or market stall with all my vintage treasures too catch the tourist traffic bustling through. Having the time to escape to one of the coastal beaches sounds beautiful. All with the package of a family a cute little house with a white picket fence, a nice church and a few dogs and maybe a pet rabbit to throw into the mix... Not to much to ask I say haha, too idealistic? too perfect picture??... I don't know where God will lead me, where he will call... But that is where I am and where I shall be and is better than what I have planned for my self, but in the meantime I'm sure he listens to my dreams.

Jeremiah 29:11

11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
